I am still not sure what exactly you mean. Are you talking about on your actual blog page or on your dashboard?
If you want to see when your friends posted last on your dashboard you need to be following them, by either going to their site and clicking "follow". Or by adding their URL/web address to your reading list on your main page by hitting "add" and then copying in their actual blogspot address.
Let me know if you mean something else! Or if you can find a blog I can look at that has what you're looking for!
After you are following the blogs you like, 1) go to "Design" on your dashboard. 2) add a gadget to your page called "Blog List" 3) make sure it's sorted by Most recently updated 4) check all of the boxes you would like included. It sounds to me like you'll probably want to check all of them. 5) Hit Add a blog to your list 6) Use the bullet "Blogs I'm Following" and check which blogs you would like to display.
Carolyn has a friend who wanted to do a birthday cake for a friend. Apparently I think he loves beer:) So I put a beer Logo and just made it look fun!
